Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 July 2026

Draft. A working draft provided during private testing; it will be reviewed before PhotoSpeak opens to the public.

This policy explains how XYZ TechLabs ("we") handles personal information in PhotoSpeak (the "Service"). PhotoSpeak is designed to be local-first: most of your data lives on your own device and inside your own files. We only receive what is needed for the cloud features you choose to use.

What we collect

How we use it

To provide, secure and improve the Service: authenticate you, store and sync the content you choose, fulfil processing you request, take payment for paid plans, and prevent abuse. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your photos to train models except where you explicitly opt in.

Who we share it with

We use trusted providers to run the Service, including Stripe (payments), cloud hosting and object storage providers, an email delivery provider, and AI model providers used to fulfil processing you request. They may process your information only to provide their service to us.

Retention and deletion

We keep cloud content while your account uses it. When you delete content or close your account, we remove the associated cloud copies within a reasonable period, subject to routine backups and legal obligations. Data in your own local files is under your control.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No online service is perfectly secure, so we encourage you to keep your own copies of anything important.

Your rights

You may access, correct or delete your personal information, and you can contact us about how it is handled. Australian users have rights under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Children

The Service is not directed at children under the age required to consent in their jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be notified by reasonable means.
